Exprel History

Between 1992 and 1995, I managed the tape label Exprel, which was mostly where my comrades and I were releasing our music. It was the old good days, when the home-taping network was so amazing and prolific. We were fully immerged in it, participating to lots of compilations in all Europe, with various styles of music depending on whom of the 'exprelians' were implicated in the band: from minimalist funny songs to heavy industrial tracks, from kinky experimental ballads to dark ambiant soundscapes.

Considering the combination of the words ʺExperimentalʺ and ʺReligiousʺ, Exprel was also a playground for us, and it recovered our deliriums upon music and life, representing ourselves as prophets of a new musical sect, which could make the mankind becoming better in discovering experimental music... All of that was pretty humoristic, invented mostly to be another response to the whole seriousness of that undegroung scene we were evolving in, yet everyone in this hometaping area understood quite well our exprelian second degree.

The 3 Exprel prophets were Spiritus Naevus, Khaza D'Horia and Vinci. Except further information, all artworks were made by Noster Spiritus Mundi.
